CRAWLAROO™ FAQ's

The Crawlaroo™ helps babies crawl sooner by combining a slick surface, soft incline, and side bumper rails that guide forward motion and reduce frustration. This setup encourages cross-lateral movement, which builds core strength and coordination and activates both sides of the brain. It turns tummy time into a focused, rewarding practice that supports faster development! Beyond tummy time, it’s also a safe, positive, and comfortable alternative to traditional bouncers, swings, and other tools that may actually delay development. To learn to crawl and walk faster, your child should spend as much time as possible in the Crawlaroo™ with their favorite developmental toys.

Crawling plays an important role in baby brain development because early movement builds essential connections between the brain and body. When babies move—especially in coordinated ways like crawling—they strengthen neural pathways that support learning, memory, attention, and problem-solving. Physical movement helps the brain organize itself, laying the foundation for future skills like reading, writing, and emotional regulation.

Each and every baby is completely unique! Your baby will develop at his or her own pace, but the Crawlaroo is a tried-and-tested tool used by parents and infant physical therapists for decades to encourage babies to get crawling! Whether your baby is newborn and excited to explore or a delayed crawler who has some catching up to do, patience is key.

Crawlaroo™ is designed for babies 6 weeks to 12+ months supporting their development from early tummy time to belly crawling and eventually crawling on all fours. Our crawling track can be used until baby reaches a stage where they can easily crawl off the track in a few seconds. Every baby is unique and will develop at their own pace!

You can certainly use Crawlaroo with younger babies to get them used to the crawling track, but until they develop enough neck strength to lift their head they won’t get optimal benefits.

The crawling track was developed by Glenn Doman, a pioneering physical therapist and founder of the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential (IAHP) and The Doman Method. Doman’s work focused on enhancing early childhood development, particularly for children with neurological challenges. He emphasized the importance of mobility in brain development, advocating for structured environments that encourage movement from infancy.

Crawlaroo™ is made using only baby-safe, non-toxic materials. The walls are padded with foam for safety and comfort, covered with waterproof vegan faux leather. The bolts that hold the sidewall bumpers onto the base are crafted from wood with non toxic coatings.

Parents in the U.S. have, for decades, had to resort to making their own DIY Doman Crawling Track. Until now, there has not been a trusted manufacturer in the United States. Crawlaroo is superior to DIY crawling tracks because it requires only minutes to assemble and use. Unlike DIY crawling tracks, our design can be disassembled easily and stored, so it doesn’t take up much space and can even be stored long-term between infants. This is perfect for small apartments and parents who don’t wish to clutter their home with baby items. Our crawling track design is sturdy, made with safe materials, and will last a lifetime if cared for!

Assembling and disassembling your Crawlaroo is as easy as unscrewing the wooden bolts at either side of the crawling track. The Crawlaroo folds down into 3 pieces that are easy to store flat in a closet, under a bed, or stand up in a corner.

Crawlaroo™ makes tummy time a breeze with easy-to-clean, waterproof surfaces. Simply wipe your Crawlaroo™ with a damp cloth after each use. For deeper cleaning, use mild baby-safe soap and water—no harsh chemicals. Dry completely before use.
