Why Parent’s Love Crawlaroo

The Crawlaroo™ Tummy Time Toy & Crawling Track is more than a tummy time activity mat! It’s a science-backed developmental toy for babies that can teach your baby to crawl sooner as it nurtures the critical brain-body connections that support motor skills, cognitive function, and even emotional regulation later in life.

Crawlaroo™ is a modern improvement of the tried-and-tested Doman crawling track, designed by Glenn Doman, renowned child development expert, creator of The Doman Method, and best-selling author of trusted child development books including “How Smart Is Your Baby?”.

But with some perks modern parents love!

Storable, Folding Design

Traditional crawling tracks are heavy, bulky, and hard to store when not in use, making them unrealistic for some parents. Our Crawlaroo crawling track folds flat for quick and easy storage under a bed or in a closet—perfect for small spaces! It’s also a breeze to transport. Packing it up is as simple as unscrewing the wooden side bolts. It assembles in under 2 minutes, disassembles flat for easy storage, and is lightweight and easy to move and pick up as needed.

Lightweight, Durable Materials

Our product features durable, wipe-clean materials that make your life easier as a busy parent. The crawling track is constructed from lightweight, thick, and soft X foam panels that cushion delicate little heads, elbows, and knees. The foam core is encased in waterproof, easy-to-clean X that protects your crawling track from tummy-time drool and unexpected spills.

High-quality Construction & Safety

At Crawlaroo™, we value innovative, high-quality construction methods that stand the test of time. Our crawling track is made with made with non-toxic, baby-safe materials. Wooden side bolts add structure and strength to our crawling track, ensuring that your babe is comfy and protected from bumps as they learn to crawl and experience forward movement. This safe space also helps to prevent big siblings and pets from accidentally running into baby.

Minimalist, Modern Look

The crawling track’s minimalist, modern design and gender-neutral colors blend in with any nursery or playroom. We know how quickly a home can be overcrowded with “baby stuff” in bright colors that don’t really fit your home decor preferences.

U.S. Owned, Mom-founded Company

In the past, many parents have been forced to either buy a crawling track from Europe or make a DIY Doman crawling track on their own. As a mom-founded company based in New York, Crawlaroo™ is proud to make our ready-to-use, foldable Doman crawling track available to United States parents. ALL babies deserve to have access to this amazing developmental tool!

How It Works: The Science Behind Crawlaroo™

Crawlaroo™ encourages babies to stay in tummy time longer by providing a gently inclined, low-friction surface that reduces frustration by making forward movement easier and more rewarding for your little one. The padded side bumpers give babies physical boundaries to push against, helping them move forward more effectively. Bumpers also block out distractions so baby stays focused and engaged—especially when a colorful toy is placed at the end of the track for them to adventure toward!

Glenn Doman’s research showed that intentional movement (especially crawling) is a critical milestone in early brain development. Tummy time and crawling on the belly strengthen a baby’s core, shoulders, arms, and neck while also engaging both hemispheres of the brain through rhythmic, cross-pattern motion.

This development of coordination is essential for building the neural pathways that support later skills like reading, writing, balance, coordination, and even emotional regulation. So, while our crawling track helps baby to crawl sooner, it can also help your baby develop in other important ways!

Who It’s For

The Crawlaroo™ is designed for babies 6 weeks to 12+ months, with benefits for a wide range of developmental stages:

  • Newborns (6+ weeks) can begin safe, supported tummy time to build head control and visual tracking.

  • Pre-crawlers gain the physical and neurological foundation for crawling through repeated, rewarding movement experiences.

  • Babies with special needs or developmental delays may benefit from the structured support, making crawling more attainable and enjoyable.

Whether your baby is on track or needs a little extra help, the Crawlaroo™ supports safe, self-driven development at their individual pace.

Tips for Best Use

  • Start with a Gentle Incline
Place the crawling track on a slight incline (about 5–10 degrees) by propping up one end with a firm, stable object. This small tilt helps your baby move forward more easily, reduces frustration, and encourages natural crawling motion, especially in the early stages.

  • Start with a Gentle Incline
While the track is inclined, try dressing baby in long pants and shirt sleeves so there is less resistance and friction. Bare skin can grip slightly to the crawling track surface, making it harder for baby to move forward. As you reduce incline, this becomes less important!
  • Use Short, Frequent Sessions
Aim for 2–3 sessions per day, lasting 5–10 minutes each. Consistency is more effective than duration. Keep sessions positive and stop when your baby seems tired or fussy. You can increase time in the track as your baby grows used to it and gains confidence!

  • Place Toys or a Mirror at the End
Use a favorite colorful toy or shiny mirror at the end of the track to give your baby a visual goal to move toward. This can motivate and keep your baby more engaged during tummy time sessions in their crawling track.

  • Support & Encourage Baby
Stay near your baby during every session to ensure safety and provide emotional reassurance, which helps baby stay calm and focused. You should also encourage baby by cheering and clapping! Positive reinforcement is a wonderful way to encourage forward movement and remind baby that you are close.

  • Use the Track on a Firm, Non-Slip Surface
Place the track on carpet, a play mat, or other non-slip flooring to prevent shifting. A stable surface helps your baby feel secure and keeps the track safely in place.

  • Adjust to Baby’s Progress
As your baby gains strength and confidence, gradually reduce the incline so they begin crawling on a flat track. You can also extend the length of time or introduce gentle resistance by inclining the end of the track slightly upward to challenge their skills as they grow.
