Our mission and the history of the doman crawling track
our mission
Crawlaroo was founded by a mom and child development specialist who is passionate about helping babies with developmental delays. She was frustrated because she wanted to purchase a Doman Crawling Track and couldn’t find one in the United States. So she decided to manufacture a safe, high-quality, folding crawling track herself!
Our mission at Crawlaroo is to spread the word about how The Doman Method can help both neurotypical and special needs infants. We want to make crawling tracks more accessible, convenient, and easily stored for U.S. families!
The History of the crawling track
Glenn Doman was a pioneering physical therapist who transformed the way we understand early childhood brain development. He worked primarily with children with neurological challenges and believed that the brain could grow and heal through targeted movement and stimulation.
He is the founder of The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential (IAHP) and he wrote many beloved parenting books like How Smart is Your Baby?.
One of Doman’s key innovations is the crawling track. Originally developed in the 1980s, it remains a core part of the Doman Method® and is used worldwide by parents, therapists, and educators to support both neurotypical and developmentally delayed children.
